Building a new generation of specialist vehicle tradespeople

The Modern Classic Cars Foundation strives to train people with the skills required across various trades to ensure the future of the Veteran, Classic, Hot Rod and Muscle Car industries in Australia.

OUR MISSION

"Ensuring the future of historical and specialist vehicles through training and education"

The specialist car industry has rewarding, well-paying jobs that are an alternative to 3-4 year university degrees. The problem is that potential workers don’t know these opportunities exist and if they do, there is lack of businesses in the specialist vehicle industry with opportunities for apprentices.

We need to help them because, who will work on a specialist cars in 5 or 10 years? It’s a good question. The lack of qualified mechanics and restoration specialists and minimal career awareness, means the specialist car industry may not survive. Together, we can change that and in the process, set young people up for great and rewarding careers.

The Modern Classic Cars Foundation provides fee free apprenticeships to the future generation of specialist vehicle tradespeople. Apprenticeships we offer are across a range of trades such as Motor Mechanics, Auto-Electrical, Panel Beating/Panting, Trimming and Engine Machining. These trades are currently all in skills shortage, have an aging workforce and require a new generation of passionate tradespeople to keep the specialist vehicle industry alive and thriving.

When an apprentice trains with MCCF they will be exposed to a variety of skills, areas and talented senior tradespeople to help them develop the knowledge and passion to maintain and restore veteran and classic vehicles, hot rods, muscle cars and more.

We’re creating career opportunities for young people who want to take a different path and helping build a new generation of specialist vehicle tradespeople.
